Matt and Stacey chose to promise the rest of their lives to each other in the mountains of Colorado, surrounded by the beauty of evergreen trees, mountain peaks, and gorgeous views. You just can’t find that in the Midwest! 

The entire day was “practically perfect in every way,” as Mary Poppins might say. There were countless reflections of Stacey’s artistic talent from handmade flower crowns, hand-painted signs, and beautiful floral displays. Their wedding felt much like a reunion, as they were surrounded by countless friends from various seasons of life, and let me tell you – all those friends had quite the dance party! The venue, The Red Barn, in Evergreen, CO was stunning – both elegant and quaint all at the same time. However, the thing that most sticks out to me as I reflect back on that day is Matt and Stacey’s commitment to Christ as the foundation of their marriage. I was holding back tears as my shutter clicked through the ceremony. Their pledge to love each other like Jesus was beautiful, and I so look forward to seeing how God uses them as a couple to minister to many people in the coming years! 

Alas, I could go on. But I will end by saying that I will now be begging brides to get married in Colorado just so I could go again. 🙂
