When Christie called me this past winter to ask about family pictures, I knew that they would be just precious. With their oldest son home from California for a short time, she wanted to make sure they got a family picture and new photos of the kids.
At the time of our call, I was holding my two-week old daughter. Christie remarked about how fast children grow, and how she just wants to freeze the time they’d have together as family this summer. The why of my photography business is capturing photos that take you back to moments of joy. That is what energizes me, drives me to grow my business and serve my clients well. I want them to open their gallery and be grateful that they made the investment of time and money to have family pictures done. I want them to open that photo album in a year and feel that tug at their heart when they see how much their kids have grown. I want them to dust off the picture frames in 10 years, 20 years and remember the joys and the trials of raising a family. Can a photo really do all that? I believe that it can.
